Please read Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website and services.

Remoterise

The Terms & Conditions of the Remoterise platform include following clauses. You automatically acknowledge and agree with all terms once you register and/or continue to use platform.
  1. User Agreement

    The User Agreement (“Agreement”) has all the information about your rights and obligations when using the platform. The agreement is legally binding between you the user referred to with the words “you” or “user” and Remoterise referred to with the words “Remoterise”, “we” or “us”. You understand that by using Remoterise website and accepting the terms and conditions when prompted, you agree to be bound by all the points that constitute our Terms & Conditions. You agree that the phrase “Terms & Conditions” means everything included in this agreement. Please make sure you read all the “Terms & Conditions” carefully because you are agreeing to not go against any of these points.

    The Terms & Conditions are for all our marketplace services, whether you are hiring or looking for work. If you don’t understand the Terms & Conditions or don’t agree to all of the Terms & Conditions, you may not use the Remoterise platform.

    If you are using our service on behalf of an organization, make sure you have the authority to accept the Terms & Conditions.

    1. Account Creation

      You must register for an account on Remoterise to use our services. We reserve the right to decide whether we want to approve your account or not. We also reserve the right to decline any request/registration to join Remoterise for any lawful reason including any business considerations. By agreeing with the Terms & Conditions, you promise to create only one account with a unique login.

    2. Account Eligibility

      By continuing with your account registration, you promise to use our services for business purposes only. You also promise that you are over 18 years old and are eligible to enter a legally binding agreement.

      By registering on Remoterise, you claim that you are doing business under your own name as a self-employed individual or are an employee or agent of an independent business.

    3. Profile Building

      All the personal information that you provide when signing up must be accurate. In case your personal information changes, you must update it on your account as well. If we find that the information you have provided us with is inaccurate, we have the right to suspend or terminate your account. You must create a profile to use our services. Once your profile is created, you consent that your profile will be shown to other users. It may also be shown to the general public (our site visitors).

    4. Account Type

      You can register as a client to use Remoterise as a buyer. You can register as a Seller to use the account as a freelancer. If you are using the platform as an agency, you agree that the account owner assumes full responsibility and liability for paying all the agency members according to the applicable law or contract.

    5. Account Permissions

      You agree not to request or allow another person to use your account or create an account for you unless they are a registered employee at your agency. If you are granting permission to other users to use your account, you assume the responsibility for whatever those users do on your account. If any user you have permitted violates the Terms & Conditions, your account may be suspended or terminated.

    6. Verifications

      We may have to verify your identity and location every now and then. When you create an account, you will have to allow identity and location verification. The verification may include verifying against any third-party database and through one or more government or legal documents that provide your identity and location.

      By continuing to use our service, you also allow Remoterise to make any inquiries necessary for verification directly or through third parties. You also agree to provide any information or legal or government document that we request at any time, promptly. If an account verification is ongoing, some of the features may become temporarily unavailable. These features may be restored once the verification is completed.

    7. Login Credentials

      Login credentials may include your email or user name and password. When registering for an account, you must choose a username and a password to log in with. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials a secret and maintaining adequate confidentiality. You agree to notify us immediately if you know or suspect that the secrecy of your username and password has been compromised or if you think or know that there has been unauthorized access to your account.

  2. Purpose of Work

    Remoterise is a digital marketplace built to connect buyers of digital services with sellers who may be providing those services. When you enter a service contract on Remoterise, you agree to invoice, receive, and pay any amounts due under the service contract.

    1. Working with Remoterise

      Remoterise is not directly involved in your contract negotiations or the delivery of freelance service. We are also not a party to any agreements that take place between buyers and sellers. We don’t offer freelance services ourselves. We also do not employ freelancers.

      By continuing on Remoterise, you acknowledge that we do not supervise or control in any way the performance of our freelancers or any other obligations they may have under the contract.

      We are not responsible for the accuracy of the user content. We don’t make any guarantees about the services a user may offer.To improve our service, we may sometimes test or temporarily offer new features.

    2. Tax and Benefits

      Freelancers are responsible for paying their taxes themselves and ensuring that their service complies with applicable laws. In the event of an audit at Remoterise, freelancers agree to cooperate with us and provide copies of their tax returns and other documents that may be requested.

    3. User Content

      Users publish or request Remoterise to publish certain types of content like geographic location, feedback, work history, etc. We are not responsible for verifying this information. Remoterise also does not endorse or recommend any buyer or seller who may have certain features like good feedback and work history.

      When continuing to use our service, you agree that user feedback benefits the marketplace users and that Remoterise will make this feedback available to all users. You also acknowledge that any feedback results which may include comments, ratings, and indicators of user satisfaction will be highlighted on the site. We are not responsible for monitoring, influencing, or censoring any feedback or opinions. You agree to notify us in case you spot any inaccuracies in your feedback. You also agree that any feedback posted will be about the service and not the person. We do not monitor or review user content. Team Remoterise cannot always prevent the misuse of our service and you agree that we are not responsible for the misuse. We do have the right but are not obligated to remove posted feedback or information.

  3. Contractual Relationship Between Client and Freelancer

    The contractual relationship is between the buyer and seller only if they choose to enter into a service contract. Remoterise will not be responsible for any service contract and no service contract will create a service relationship between Remoterise and the user. Buyers and sellers can enter into any agreements within their service contract unless these agreements go against our Terms & Conditions.

    1. Conflict and Dispute

      For dispute resolution between buyers and sellers, you agree to abide by the dispute resolution process that applies to your contract. If the dispute resolution process does not resolve the conflict, you may attempt to resolve it independently.

      You agree that Remoterise is not responsible for resolving disputes that arise between buyers and sellers beyond the dispute resolution process outlined.

    2. Confidential Information

      Users can agree to any terms they think are appropriate concerning confidentiality. Once agreed, the recipient will take reasonable steps to ensure the confidentiality of the information.

  4. Worker Classification

    Buyers can decide whether they want to work with a freelancer as an independent contractor or as an employee.

  5. Platform Fee

    All users agree to pay the platform fees applicable to Remoterise for providing the services that we do on the platform. Freelancers agree to pay Remoterise the fee for using the platform. Remoterise may subtract the platform fee from the amount that the client pays to the freelancer. Clients may pay Remoterise a marketplace fee for using our services. We do not collect a fee for introducing a buyer to the seller. We only collect a fee once the freelancer is paid by the client.

  6. Payments

    Freelancers can invoice clients for payments for hourly contracts every week through Remoterise. When the client approves the invoice, the client authorizes Remoterise to charge the client to pay the freelancer fee. For fixed-price contracts, clients agree to deposit the applicable amount with Remoterise when initiating the contract. Once the client approves a payment request by the freelancer, Remoterise will release the amount the client had deposited with the Remoterise platform to the freelancer’s account. By continuing to use our service, you agree that any failure of the client to dispute a payment request promptly authorizes us to release the requested payment into the freelancer’s account.

    1. Disbursement to Freelancers

      Freelancers can request the disbursement of amounts held in their accounts at any time. We reserve the right to refuse to process or hold the disbursement of the freelancer fee or any amount as we believe is appropriate at our discretion. If after our investigation, we determine that the hold on the fee disbursement to the freelancer is no longer necessary, we may release the hold as soon as possible. We also reserve the right to seek a reimbursement from you and you will reimburse us if we suspect fraud associated with your payment, or discover erroneous or duplicate transactions. You agree that Remoterise has the right to obtain any reimbursement, deduct amounts from future payments or withdrawals, or use other lawful means to obtain reimbursement from you. If we are unable to obtain any necessary reimbursements, we have the right to temporarily suspend or terminate your account.

    2. Client Default

      A client will be considered to be in default if the client fails to pay the freelancer when due, the client fails to pay Remoterise any service fee applicable, or the client takes any action that results in a negative or due balance on the client’s account. We may temporarily suspend or terminate a client’s account if it is in default without notice. The client will be responsible for any amounts that remain unpaid on any open contracts at the time of suspension or termination. We may charge all portion of any amount that is owed by the client to the payment method entered on the client’s account. We do not guarantee that a client can pay or will pay the freelancer fees.

    3. Refunds

      Clients agree that once they have been charged for the authorized amounts, they will not be entitled to any refunds except for those outlined in the dispute resolution process. Therefore, you agree to not ask your payment method provider to charge back any freelancer fees or other fees charged for any reason.

    4. Payment Methods

      You authorize Remoterise to store banking and other financial details in methods that are consistent with our privacy policy. You give us the right to charge your alternate payment method in case your primary payment method fails. By providing us with your financial information you agree that you are authorized to provide this information and you are authorized to make payments using the payment methods.

    5. Currency Conversion

      If a user’s payment method is in a currency other than U.S. dollars and requires us to convert currencies to make or withdraw payments, we will display conversion rates that are available to us. These rates may not be the best available and are adjusted according to the market conditions. We are not responsible for currency fluctuations that occur when billing, crediting, receiving, or sending payments.

  7. Non-circumvention

    By using Remoterise to buy or sell services, you agree to communicate through the Remoterise platform and promise to make and receive payments only through the site. Violations of this clause may result in permanent suspension of your account.

    You agree to use the Remoterise platform as your exclusive method to request, receive, and make payments for all the work that has been done directly or indirectly through Remoterise.

    You also agree to notify Remoterise immediately if someone suggests that you make or receive payments outside of the Remoterise platform.

    1. Communication

      Users agree to use the communication tools/options available within the Remoterise platform before the work contract has been initiated.

      You also agree that you will not share any means of direct contact with any other user you have met on the platform. You also agree that you will not use means of contact other than those provided on the platform to communicate with another user, you will not attempt to find means of direct contact publicly, and you will also not include any means of direct contact when sharing proposals, job invites, invitations, or in any pre-hire communication.

      Means of direct contact include any information that may allow another user to contact you outside of the Remoterise platform.

      You acknowledge and agree that any violation of the Terms & Conditions may lead to a permanent suspension of your account.

  8. Record Keeping

    You are responsible for maintaining and backing all your business records. By continuing to use the Remoterise platform, you acknowledge that we do not have any obligation to maintain, store, or have a backup of your business records.

  9. Service Provision

    We do not claim that our services will be uninterrupted or free from errors.

  10. Limitation of Liability

    You acknowledge that Remoterise is not liable for any damages or losses that may occur with your use of or inability to use our services, any delays or interruptions you may encounter on the platform, any viruses or malicious software you may obtain by clicking on links present on the platform, any bugs, errors, or glitches, any damage done to your hardware because of our services, any actions or inactions of third parties.

  11. Agreement Term and Termination

    Remoterise and you, the user, both have the right to end this Agreement. Certain obligations may survive even after the agreement ends. If you do terminate this agreement, your right to use our services is automatically revoked. You also acknowledge that the termination of this Agreement contract does not automatically make you free of any obligations associated with any contracts that may have been initiated on the platform before the termination of the Agreement with Remoterise. In case you have open contracts when terminating the Agreement, you agree to allow Remoterise to close any such contracts or you will continue to abide by these Agreements until the contract ends. We will continue to provide our services until you are working on a contract and agree to abide by the terms of the Agreement. You will also be obligated to pay any amounts due as of the date of termination of this agreement or as of the closure of your contract.

    We reserve the right to limit access to our services or revoke them completely if you breach any Terms & Conditions, we believe that you have provided inaccurate or misleading information, your actions may cause legal issues for you or others, may involve illegal activities, or if we are required by law or law enforcement. You agree that if your account is temporarily or permanently closed, Remoterise has the right to notify other users that you have entered into contracts with and also provide them reasons for the account action. You acknowledge that we will not be liable for any loss or damage that may come out of any such notification.

    1. Account Data

      You will not have access to any data you may have published on the site once your account is closed. We may retain some or all of the information we have relating to your account.

    2. Survival of Clause

      Some terms from this agreement may remain even after the Agreement has been terminated. These may include terms related to audits, non-circumvention, fees, and limited liability among others.

  12. Dispute Between User and Remoterise

    In case there is a dispute between you and Remoterise, you agree to work with us to resolve it quickly and cost-effectively.

Terms of Use

Terms of Use are the rules that apply to the Remoterise platform and guide how we run this marketplace.

  1. Rights to Intellectual Property and Content

    We allow you to have limited access to our site so you may use our services. We can take away this access and stop you from using our service at any time.

    1. Intellectual Property

      We allow you to use our service. But that does not give you the right to use our trademarks or any other intellectual property.

    2. We Are Not Responsible for What You Post

      You assume full responsibility for whatever you post on Remoterise. If someone flags your content and files a complaint against us, you agree to compensate us for any liabilities this may incur. You also agree to post legal content, that is not someone else’s intellectual property and you have the full authority to post it.

    3. Other Users May Have Some Rights to Your Content

      When you post on our site, you give us permission to use, edit, and share what you have posted. You also allow other users to access and copy your content to reshare it within the Remoterise platform.

    4. We Do Not Claim Responsibility for What Someone Posts on Remoterise

      Remoterise is not responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the content shared on the platform by other people.

  2. What Is Not Allowed on Remoterise

    Posting any content that is illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, violent, harassing, sexually explicit, or in any way related to child exploitation is impermissible on Remoterise.

    1. Misleading or Fraudulent Actions

      You are not allowed to act misleadingly or fraudulently by lying about your skills, experience, and qualifications, claiming or implying you are connected to a person or organization, using personal information that isn’t yours, or attributing false statements to another person or the Remoterise platform.

    2. Fraud Concerning Payments

      No fraud concerning payments is allowed. This includes billing the time you haven’t worked or work you haven’t done and reporting the time someone else worked and claiming it as your own.

      If you are a buyer, you cannot post jobs with unreasonable payment terms or without the intention of paying for the service at all.

    3. Other Prohibited Actions

      You cannot demand free work, post personally identifiable information, or spam others.

      You are not allowed to abuse our feedback system and must use it honestly and fairly at all times. You cannot promote or advertise other services or organizations within the Remoterise platform. You cannot tamper with our technology and bypass any security features.

  3. Enforcing Our Terms

    We have the right to terminate or suspend your account if we find out that you are breaking our rules.
